Pet prescriptions in Texas: what happens after you submit

If your veterinarian has prescribed something that does not come off a manufacturer's shelf in the right strength, form, or flavour for your animal, that prescription has to be compounded. OmniPetRx is a Texas veterinary compounding pharmacy, and this form is how a prescription reaches us.

What we need from you. Your pet's basics — species, sex, weight, age, and what your veterinarian is treating — plus current medications, allergies, and any pre-existing conditions. That information goes to our pharmacy team, not into a marketing list. We also need your veterinary clinic's name and either a phone number or an email for them; whichever is faster to reach is the one we will use.

How the prescription gets verified. We contact your veterinary clinic directly, which needs nothing further from you. We do not compound without a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian — that is not a policy preference, it is how veterinary pharmacy works.

What happens next. Once the prescription is confirmed, we reach out about payment and shipping, then ship to you directly. If anything on the prescription needs clarifying, we go back to your veterinarian rather than guessing — see how the prescription process works end to end.
